About Nimble

Nimble has a delicious new recipe and larger thicker slice sizes. Containing less than 50 calories and just 0.1grams of saturated fat per slice, Nimble really is the low calorie bread that tastes so good you’d never know. And with the added benefits of now being high in fibre and free from artificial preservatives you really can be sure you’re making the right choice.

Eating a diet high in fibre is known to have many benefits for your inner health. Despite this 8 out of 10 people in the UK still don’t eat enough (NDNS 2003) meaning most of us are not feeling as good as we could be.

If you are trying to lose weight it is important not to compromise having a healthy balanced diet. The easiest way to do this is to eat a high fibre, low fat diet rich in fruit and vegetables. Swapping full fat products for lower fat variants will also help to remove some of those important calories.

Guideline Daily Amounts or GDAs

GDAs help you to understand what you are eating and how this compares with recommended levels for the entire day to maintain health. GDAs are exactly that, a guide, and should not be used as a target.

A balanced diet is simply a matter of eating the right things in the right amounts. And GDAs are simply a way of indicating whether you’re generally taking in the right amounts of crucial things like protein, fibre, carbohydrates and salt.

Remember though, Guideline Daily Amounts are just that - a guide. Everybody’s requirements are different, so use your GDAs to help you plan your diet roughly rather than set targets to be met every day.

Your GDAs explained on our packaging:

Along with the nutrition information traditionally used on Nimble bread we have gone that one step further and very soon we will be providing nutritional information on the front of our packs, as well as telling you how this compares to guideline levels for the entire day.
